"Master the art of collecting feedback, and make your decisions based on that." - CEO of B

Q - Do you often rely on your gut intuitions to make decisions? The answer is: do you ask the right questions? For example, there are 2 office spaces: one is more expensive than the other. Some might suggest to take the cheaper one. But in reality, you need to think about what you want to achieve within the office. Do you want to create a more social space that facilitates networking? In which case the expensive one would be more suitable.

Can you tell us a big challenge you had to overcome in your entrepreneurship life? When the business is going in the wrong direction, you need to stay persistent. It is the biggest challenge. If you are an entrepreneur, the hardest thing is that you often don’t receive feedback. You are doing a lot of the thinking on your own, and you may be going in the wrong direction. I recommend mastering the art of collecting feedback, and make your decisions based on this.

For example, we did a marketing campaign for Mark Zuckerberg in 2008.They were a 700 people company. It is impressive, seeing an entrepreneur grow. And notice he changed a lot, this is very impressive. The challenge is to stay connected, and get the real feedback.

You often mention a lot of technological tools and comparison in your YouTube videos. What are the keys characteristics of good productivity as an individual?

The essence of productivity is the ability to stick with the task, and dive into the task. If you take Elon Musk as an example, you see him on stage. How long he pauses and thinks about something. It would feel very uncomfortable for many. But he focuses the energy on the question that was asked. Without training, you will not be able to focus. And without focus, there is no true productivity. It would be just running chickens.

Once you focus, things change. For example, Monday morning, the first thing you grab is the phone. It will drag everything you do into what someone else says. Whether it is a Facebook post, an email, or a WhatsApp message. It is not leading in your direction. If you decide to focus on what you want to do, then you set the tone for the week. That’s the big game changer. It gets people focused because you have less time.

Q - Can you tell us how do you have fun while doing high impact work? (Eisenhower priority matrix - Flow)

The idea is to generate flow.

You need to think about which part of your work generate the most fun. For example, if you like to publish content, then ask yourself which part of the work gives you the most satisfaction? Is it the interviewing, the editing, or the writing? You need to know which part you enjoy the most. And focus on what you like to do first thing in the morning. If you take that part and make it a priority, it will have an impact.
